Vincent and Betty Lazear of Bellaire celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

They were united in marriage on Aug. 18, 1962, at Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Dawson, W.Va.

Betty Lazear is the daughter of the late Loren and Lovie Puckett of Dawson. She is retired from Marshall County Schools as a junior high school home economics and science teacher.

Vincent Lazear is the son of the late Milton and Irene Lazear of Wheeling. He is a retired industrial arts teacher having taught in Ohio and Marshall counties for 38 years.

They are the parents of two children. The family includes Loren and his wife, Laurie, of Spring, Texas, and Julie and her husband, Darrin Jones, of Wheeling. They have two grandsons and two granddaughters.
