Alex and Peggy Salvatori of Sun Valley, Glen Dale, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.

They were united in marriage on Aug. 26, 1967, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wheeling with the Rev. Antonine Vukmanovich officiating.

Peggy Salvatori is the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret McNeil. She is retired from Marshall County Schools.

Alex Salvatori is the son of the late Fernando and Jean Salvatori. He also is retired from Marshall County Schools.

They are the parents of two daughters. The family includes Angela Laurie and her husband, Greg, of Madison, Ohio, and Lisa Lipscomb and her husband, Bryan, of Pataskala, Ohio. They have five grandchildren.

A family celebration will be held in Pittsburgh in their honor.
