Terry and Ralph Dunkin of Wheeling are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, Saturday, Aug. 21.

They were united in marriage Aug. 21, 1971, at Central Schwenkfelder Church, Lansdale, Pa., by the Rev. Jack Rothenberger.

Terry is the daughter of the late Lloyd and Carmen Brittingham. She is retired from Wheeling Corrugating Co.

Ralph is the son of the late Ralph N. and Phyllis Dunkin.

He is Bishop Emeritus of the West Virginia-Western Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The Dunkins are parents of two sons. The family includes Russell and his wife, Christy, of Wheeling, and Eric and his wife, Nikki, of Wheeling. They have three grandchildren, Aubrey, Donovan and Levi. The anniversary was celebrated on a family trip to Topsail Island Beach in North Carolina.
