Richard and Mary Anna Strickler of Wheeling recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday, Aug. 12.

They were united in marriage Aug. 12, 1961, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Wheeling, where they remain active members of the congregation.

Mary Anna is the daughter of the late William and Marie Mitchell of Wheeling. She is a retired elementary teacher from Ohio County Schools.

Richard is the son of the late Edgar and Dorothy Strickler of Uniontown, Pa. He is retired from the former Wheeling Corrugating Co. as manager of engineering.

They have two children. The family includes Richard Jr. of Wheeling and Robin Littleton and her husband, Robert, of Philadelphia, Pa. They have two grandsons.
