Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Cunningham of Wheeling will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Nov. 24.

The couple was married on Nov. 24, 1971 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church by the Rev. Charles W. Paskel.

Gretchen is the daughter of Thelma Lennex and the late Elmer A. Lennex. She is retired from Ohio County Schools as a middle school teacher.

Wayne is the son of the late William E. “Bud” and Esther Cunningham. He is retired from Family Service Upper Ohio Valley.

The family includes Stuart and his wife Jennifer Cunningham of South Park, Pa.; and Stephanie and her husband Erik Strope of Troy, Ohio.

They also have four grandsons: Parker, Troy, Benjamin and Daniel.

A celebration dinner will be held with family and friends at Undo’s West.
