Nolte Chosen America’s Favorite Homecoming Queen

WHEELING — Wheeling Central Catholic Class of 2018 Homecoming Queen, Nikki Nolte, represented Central and the state of West Virginia in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl last December, and recently won the 2018 America’s Favorite Homecoming Queen title and scholarship.

Nolte is now is a student at Thomas More University in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, majoring in business. In addition to school, she continues her work with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

America’s Homecoming Queen Inc. is a non-profit organization promoting education, educational travel and community service in all 50 states. Based out of Memphis, AHQ formed in 1981, and has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships as well as $1 million in travel and awards. The Queens are chosen for the competition based on outstanding academics, as well as school and community involvement and volunteer work. Being part of this scholarship competition is a long-term commitment for these homecoming queens as they continue to be involved in St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
