WHEELING — The Wheeling Symphony auxiliary will conduct a mandatory training session for student volunteers at 6 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Capitol Theatre.

The training for the 2019-2020 symphony season will last approximately two hours.

Students in grades 9-12 are invited to attend the mandatory training.

Reservations for the training are required by Sept. 16 and can be made by sending an email message to wsostudentvolunteers@wheelingsymphony.com. Students must include their name, grade and email address in the email.

Students will usher concerts and help with the Patron Party, Viennese Winter Ball, Fourth of July concert, auxiliary events and symphony office among other possible duties.

Ushers are dismissed once concerts begin but are welcome and encouraged to stay for the concerts at no charge.

Students are required to have their own email address to participate in the volunteer program. Organizers said they accept family or parental email addresses.
