Mother Earth News Fair: Fun for the Family
SEVEN SPRINGs, Pa. — Grab the family and head to Seven Springs Mountain Resort on Sept. 13-15 for an adventure in all that is good for the earth and a whole lot of fun.
The Mother Earth News Fair will be held next weekend at Seven Springs and will feature dozens of practical, hands-on demonstrations and workshops from the leading authorities on renewable energy, small-scale agriculture, gardening, green building, green transportation and natural health.
Sprinkled in between those programs you will find entertainment, organic local food and beverages, outdoor gardens, children’s activities and livestock demonstrations. In addition, regional and national vendors will be on hand offering sustainable lifestyle products and services, such as books, tools, seeds, crafts, organic foods, clothes, solar gadgets and more. All of this will be held, inside and out, at the sprawling resort.
Hours for the Mother Earth News Fair are Friday, Sept. 13, noon-6 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 14, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 15, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Seven Springs Mountain Resort is located at 777 Waterwheel Drive, Seven Springs, Pa. Seminars include everything from raising happy pigs to living off the grid, to greenbuilding to fiber arts. Nancy Heeney, Mother Earth News assistant producer, national events, said the fair offers “something for everyone.”
