Holiday Magic at Marshall County Libraries
What could be better during this magical holiday season than even more magic with Dave Powers, magician extraordinaire?
He’ll perform Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library and the Benwood-McMechen Library.
The show at the Moundsville Library starts at 11 a.m., and the show at the Benwood-McMechen Library starts at 2 p.m.
His “Magic of Christmas” show will delight children of all ages and their parents, too. The program is free and open to the public.
Powers is one of the most popular performers at libraries, schools and other venues throughout the region.
His changing acts as a magician and ventriloquist are in great demand, not only because of the high-caliber of his illusions and magic tricks, but also because they are full of humor and encouragement. His messages promoting reading and learning are blended with the magic acts in a way that makes them especially memorable for children. A native West Virginian, Powers is a full-time professional magician and entertainer with many years of experience, having first ventured into the field of magic at the age of 7.
He constantly introduces new illusions, keeping his acts fresh and surprising.
The special holiday program he’ll be bringing to the Moundsville and Benwood-McMechen audiences on Dec. 13 is tailored for the season, complete with snow falling inside the libraries. Can he do it?
The program is for all ages and is sponsored by the Robert Baker family.
