Production of Musical ‘Peter and Wendy’ Coming to Strand Theatre This Weekend
When Captain Hook sends his right-hand man Smee on a quest to capture Peter Pan, it’s seemingly business as usual — at first. Little does Hook realize what fantastic adventures await him and his pirate posse in their search for the elusive Peter Pan.
The play “Peter and Wendy” will be presented at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Strand Theatre in Moundsville. Tickets will be available at the door.
The local cast features Charli Garrison as Peter Pan and Destiny Robinsonas Peter’s Shadow. Playing Tinkerbell is Kaylin Namlik with Bella Iafrate, Annadra Dudley, Kiernan Porter, Julia Palotay, Ben Iafrate, Jacob Boyette, Sydney Hess, Daegan Payntor and Destany Bateman as the Lost Boys. Lauren Rice is Wendy Darling and John and Michael Darling are Alex Fabrizio and Gianni Oliveto. Mr. and Mrs. Darling are Anthony Holpp and Lauren Brannan with Cora Spiezvogel and Kathleen Guthrieas Nana and Liza. The notorious Captain Hook is Justice Robinson with Gwen Brown, Jacoby Thomas, Akaila Williams, Mila Vosvick, Caroline Honaker, Apollo Miller, Emma McGovern, Rachel Holpp and Gara Olivetoas his Pirate crew. Josie Vosvick as Tiger Lily and Alanna Williams, Lauryn Blatt, Aneliese Guthrie, Emily Suarez and Jadyn Parker as the Neverlanders and Kaila Blatt, Olivia Blatt, Annabella Blatt, Luke Perry and Atreyu Dudleyas the Neverland Creatures. Flying their way to Neverland are Zada Grisell, Micah Holpp, Sophia Hostetler, Grace Welsh, Dylan Evans, Josie Novel, Cathleen Deagel, Makayla Lassiter, Memphis Miller, Amelia Border, Emma Earliwine, Abby Allman, Mary Suarez, Desmond Bellen and Mason Boyetteas Clouds. Sarah Holpp as Crocodile and Anna Suarez as Petey. Serving as Assistant Directors will be Creed Kidney, Ayla Duffield and Daniel Holpp.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) Directors are Matthew Porter and Hadley Williams.
Davis Scherrick will be the accompanying pianist for the production.
The MCT residency in Moundsville is presented locally by The Strand Theatre Preservation Society with the support from the West Virginia Division of Culture and History, West Virginia Commission on the Arts, funding from the Evan G. Robert’s Trust, BB&T Trustees and the Moundsville Woman’s Club.
