Pinkalicious Event on Tap At Library In Moundsville

MOUNDSVILLE — It’s a Pinkalicious Valentines Day coming to the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

The beloved character from the picture books by Victoria Kann is now also the star of a PBS Kids show. A new episode of the animated program “Pinkalicious and Peterrific” will be shown during this special Inquire Within event. Along with the show, a Pinkalicious Valentine’s Day story will be shared and there will be an arts & crafts project plus a treat. The program is free and open to the public and is aimed at children ages 3-6 years old. We strongly recommend pre-registering your child by phoning or visiting the library to ensure enough craft materials and treats are available.

“Pinkalicious and Peterrific” encourages kids to engage in creative arts and self-expression, with positive messages to work together and imagine creative solutions to problems.

The Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library is one of just a handful of libraries chosen for the innovative Inquire Within partnership with WQED, the Pittsburgh-based public broadcasting company, with Chevron as the sponsor of the initiative. Now in its third year for the Moundsville Library, the aim of the partnership is to offer entertaining and impactful media-based educational experiences for children and their families. Libraries select from a variety of STEAM, early literacy and other PBS-themed program options to engage children in learning in a way that is imaginative and fun.
