Greenbrier Valley Brewing Co. featured at Stifel Art & Ale event in Wheeling
WHEELING — Oglebay Institute’s Stifel Fine Arts Center continues its popular Art & Ale craft beer series at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 26. Admission includes five selections from the award-winning Greenbier Valley Brewing Company along with food pairings from Ye Olde Alpha.
A representative from Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company will present each beer, and guests will enjoy trying new brews and having fun, said Stifel Center director Rick Morgan.
“The cardinal rule of beer tasting is that it must be fun,” Morgan said. “That’s what the evening will be — a social gathering that gives people a great excuse to spend time with friends and learn more about craft beer at the same time,” he said.
Located in Maxwelton, just a few miles north of Lewisburg, WV, Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company aims to enhance customers’ lives by producing unique craft beer brought to and reached for on adventures small and large. With a boundless pride for West Virginia, the company’s motto is, “Get Out. Explore. Bring Beer,” and it remains environmentally friendly in the production and distribution of its products.
Selections for the April 26 event include:
Devil Anse IPA
The Devil Anse IPA is a medium bodied American style India Pale Ale with notes of citrus and tropical fruit.
Mothman Black IPA
Dark and delicious, this brew is strong but hops balance bitterness, suggesting notes of citrus and hints of floral.
Wild Trail Pale Ale
A medium-bodied, golden-amber ale, Wild Trail features the choicest hops from the Pacific Northwest, lending to a robust mango, tangerine and piney flavor.
A refreshing Belgian-style wheat ale, Zona offers a zesty orange, melon, fruity finish with hints of herbs and spices.
Ole Ran’l Pils
This classic German-style pilsner has a moderate hop flavor with subtle notes of white wine, tangerine and melon and a dry hoppy finish.
