Two film showings scheduled at Moundsville Public Library

MOUNDSVILLE — The Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library has two film showings coming up.

The first is “Captain Marvel,” showing at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. In this Marvel Studios action-adventure-sci-fi feature, Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. It stars Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson. This 2019 release is rated PG-13 and runs for 124 minutes.

The next feature will be “The Public” to be shown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 22. The film stars Alec Baldwin and Emilio Estevez. In this 2018 drama, which Estevez also directs, an act of civil disobedience turns into a standoff with police when homeless people take over a Cincinnati public library for shelter from the bitter cold. It is rated PG-13 and runs for 120 minutes.
