Ventriloquist, Puppet Show Set at Library In Moundsville

MOUNDSVILLE — The Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library will host the Pittsburgh Puppet Works at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, for a special performance of “Destination: Imagination!” The event is aimed at young children and is free and open to the public.

This show features ventriloquist Gwen Bowman. Bowman and her zany crew members travel around the United States meeting all sorts of comical puppet creatures at each stop along the way. A variety of amusing and educational themes are presented during this imaginary trip, including nutrition, animals, exploration, fairy tales, insects, super heroes, foreign language, geography and reading.

The Pittsburgh Puppet Works is a professional puppet troupe that entertains children of all ages. Known for creating and performing “professional, hilarious, toe-tappin’, engaging and all-around catchy puppet productions,” the Pittsburgh Puppet Works is family entertainment with “real character.” The laughs and learning go hand-in-hand and the artistry of the puppets is first-rate.

The “Destination: Imagination” puppet show is an Inquire Within event, with the library receiving support from WQED and Chevron.

The Moundsville Library is located at the corner of Fifth Street and Tomlinson Avenue. Call 304-845-6911 for more information.
