Annual Wine Festival Comes to Seven Springs This Weekend

SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. — Seven Springs Mountain Resort presents the 27th Annual Wine Festival this weekend, Friday through Sunday, Aug. 23-25.

Showcasing wineries from across Pennsylvania, the Seven Springs Wine Festival offers festival-goers an unforgettable wine sampling experience in the mountains.

One of the largest events of its kind in the state, the Seven Springs Wine Festival will welcome 30 wineries, including Allegheny Wine Cellars, Heritage Wine Cellars, Glades Pike Winery, Presque Isle Wine Cellars, Christian W. Klay Winery and KingView Mead. Festival guests can sample hundreds of different tastes, combinations and vintages, as well as purchase their favorite to take home.

“Seven Springs Wine Festival is a perfect setting to sample, purchase and learn about a variety of Pennsylvania wines,” Jennifer Eckinger, executive director of the Pennsylvania Winery Association, said. “This year, 30 wineries from throughout Pennsylvania look forward to sampling and selling a variety of Pennsylvania wines. Surely there will be an opportunity for all to try a new and favorite wine in the beautiful setting of Seven Springs.”

The Wine Festival also features a variety of delicious foods from the Seven Springs culinary team, including a fantastic variety of creative festival foods. Helen’s Restaurant will be open for lunch service throughout the weekend. Helen’s recently won its eighth consecutive Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator, recognizing its extensive and unique list of wines from around the world.

“Now in its 27th year, the Wine Festival is a highly-anticipated annual event in the Laurel Highlands,” Laura Argenbright, Seven Springs Marketing and Festivals manager, said. “We appreciate the opportunity to work so closely with the Pennsylvania Wine Association and 30 Pennsylvania wineries each year, offering our guests an incredible weekend of great wine sampling, food and music. Three stages of live entertainment will fill the mountains with music from Chris Higbee, Radio Tokyo, Totally 80s, The Stickers and many more.

Complimentary wine check service will be available to festival attendees. This service allows guests to purchase their favorite wines on-site and have them stored for convenient pickup.

The festival runs from 5-9 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 23, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24-25. Festival admission includes a tasting glass, wine check service, live musical entertainment, craft exhibits and a program guide.

All attendees must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event. All attendees will be required to present proper identification to gain entrance into the festival. Children, minors and pets are not permitted on festival grounds. Seven Springs and the Pennsylvania Winery Association encourages all festival attendees to drink responsibly.
