Teen Band Battle to Rock Riverfront On September 7

WHEELING — School is back in session, and it’s time to kick off a great year. Ohio Valley People4Positivity invites area youth bands to compete in the Back2School Band Bash from 6:30-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at Wheeling Heritage Port. The event is free to attend and open to Ohio Valley teens (and their families).

Local youth bands will compete for a chance to win a grand prize of four hours of studio time provided by ShedSounds Studio and cash awards for the top three finishers.

Bands that meet the event’s eligibility requirements should apply by today.

Applications can be downloaded from the event website and emailed to b2sbandbash@gmail.com. Spots are limited.

Ohio Valley teens are invited to support the bands and enjoy a night of music, food and fun along the banks of the Ohio River.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside WesBanco Arena.

The new event is hosted by Ohio Valley People4Positivity, a community group fostering positive experiences for Ohio Valley youth.

Any questions about the event can be directed to Gail Adams, event organizer and Ohio County Schools educator, at b2sbandbash@gmail.com.
