Willis to be Featured at Lunch With Books in Wheeling

WHEELING — Meredith Sue Willis will be the featured speaker at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Ohio County Public Library’s weekly Lunch With Books program in downtown Wheeling.

In Willis’ book “Their Houses,” three adults, closely bonded in childhood, are reunited on land once owned by a white supremacist group, where they discover in various ways that there is no final protection, no matter how hard they strive to find it or make it.

Willis teaches novel writing at New York University’s School of Professional Studies. She is the author of 22 books, has received a literary fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and has won awards such as the PEN Syndicated Fiction Award and the West Virginia Library Association Literary Merit Award.

Lunch With Books programs are free and open to the public. Unless otherwise noted, they begin at noon on Tuesdays in the library’s auditorium.

Attendees are welcome to bring a bag lunch, and complimentary beverages are provided.

Call the Ohio County Public Library at 304-232-0244 or visit the library’s website at www.ohiocountylibrary.org for more information.
