Marshall County Strings’ Winter Concert Coming

Moundsville Middle School Strings student Annadra Dudley is preparing for the upcoming concert at John Marshall High School.

MOUNDSVILLE — The Marshall County Strings Program will present its elementary and middle school Winter Concert at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, in the John Marshall High School Center for Performing Arts.

The concert will feature combined performances involving nearly 200 students from Cameron, Center McMechen, Central, Glen Dale, Hilltop, Sand Hill and Washington Lands elementary schools, as well as Cameron, Moundsville and Sherrard middle schools.

Sounds of the holidays will fill the stage with familiar pieces including Jingle Bells, Up on the Housetop and Holly Jolly Christmas. Middle school students will share unique arrangements of traditional carols along with contemporary pieces that commemorate the holiday season.

The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted.
