Longtime Friends Unite for Christmas Concerts

Mark Statler

JEWETT — Longtime friends and local musicians Mark Statler and Roger Hoard will be holding their annual Christmas concerts this weekend and next weekend.

The first concert will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, in Statler’s hometown of Jewett at the Jewett Wildcat Center (gym of the former Jewett High School), 117 W. Main St. The second concert will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, in Carrollton at the Century Farms Barn, 1121 Canton Road (behind Days Inn/Ponderosa Steakhouse).

Both concerts are free and open to the public. A love offering will be taken to cover expenses and also to benefit a dear friend of Statler’s who is disabled as a result of a severe brain aneurysm and stroke.

Special singing guest at this year’s concerts will be JoAnn Jones Copeland. Statler, Hoard and Copeland have been dear friends and have worked together for many years with Jamboree USA and Jamboree In The Hills shows, along with other concert venues up unto the present.

For more information please contact 330-280-0653 or find info on Statler’s Facebook page. Come bring your friends and your entire family to share a heartfelt and joyful evening of Christmas music and memories. It’s truly a great way to prepare for the holidays.
