Marshall County Strings Benefit Concert Slated For Tuesday
GLEN DALE — The Marshall County Strings Program will present “Decades” at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the John Marshall High School Center for Performing Arts.
This concert will feature well-known music from each decade, beginning with the 1960s. Motown, classic rock and pop music will be performed by the electric orchestra, chamber orchestra and string orchestra. Selections include a Motown medley, Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven,” Alabama’s “If You’re Gonna Play in Texas,” Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and the Bruno Mars hit “Uptown Funk.”
Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra and the Marshall County Strings Program Scholarship.
