ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Come out for a hot meal and a swashbuckling show this Tuesday night as the St. C. Singers present their annual winter spaghetti dinner.

One of the Singers’ biggest annual fundraisers –the winter spaghetti dinner will take place from 4-8 p.m. this Tuesday, Feb. 11, in the cafetorium of the St. Clairsville City Schools’ main campus. The event not only raises funds that allow the group to participate in show choir competitions throughout the region, but also gives the local community a chance to get a glimpse of this year’s adventurous treasure of a show, “Dead Men Tell No Tales.”

This is the only opportunity the local community has to see the St. C. Singers perform their full-production competition show on home turf in St. Clairsville, as all of their other performances take place on the road at venues that are typically at least two hours away.

A full slate of entertainment will be offered during the spaghetti dinner, including performances by the St. C. Singers at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and St. Clairsville High School’s vocal group Sweet Harmony will also perform at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Dine-in and carryout meals will be available.

The St. C. Singers’ 2019-20 show choir season has taken them to competitions at Alliance, Marysville and Marion Harding high schools in Ohio so far this year, and the award-winning group has claimed the top prize in its division each time, along with awards for overall best choreography, best dressed director, best drummer, best overall costumes and best vocals.

The group will travel to South Harrison High School in Lost Creek, W.Va., on Saturday, Feb. 15, to defend their grand championship title there.

On Feb. 22, the St. C. Singers will again perform in the Ohio Valley when they host their biggest annual fundraiser. The 2020 St. C. Division III Show Choir Invitational takes place all day Feb. 22 at Buckeye Local High School, where several smaller show choirs from schools throughout Ohio and West Virginia will compete.

The Singers wrap up their season in March during their annual school performing arts trip. During this year’s spring trip, the group will perform at Disney World.

Tickets to Tuesday’s spaghetti dinner can be purchased in advance from any member of the St. C. Singers, and tickets also will be available at the door the day of the event.
