Music of 1960s and ’70s Celebrated At Undo’s Elm Grove Saturday Night

WHEELING — Undo’s Elm Grove will present an evening of nostalgic live music from the 1960s and ’70s from 8-11 p.m. Saturday, March 7, with the specialty band Vinyl Soul and featuring a ’60s and ’70s costume contest with prizes.

“This will be a special night at Undo’s Elm Grove,” noted band member Sean Geery. “We want to take you back to your first Earth Day, when a computer was as big as a horse, with the music — and the look — that defined those times. We are hoping people break out their bell-bottom jeans or flaired pants, their mini-skirts or maxi-skirts, their peace signs or platform shoes — and join in the fun.” The costume judging will begin at 8 p.m., with winners expected to be announced around 10 p.m.

Vinyl Soul has been performing around the Ohio Valley for nearly four years, typically opening with a set of songs from the 1960s, performed in costumes of that era. The band’s second set focuses upon music from the ’70s, with music from Sly and the Family Stone, The Guess Who, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Three Dog Night and others. Band members present this set in ’70s fashions.

Undo’s is located at 1253 National Road, Wheeling. For more information, call 304-242-5585.
