SHADYSIDE — Matt’s Tiger Pub In Shadyside will be hosting a baseball fundraiser for the Shadyside High School Baseball Team from 9 p.m. to midnight on Friday, April 2.

The band MSM — or Miller, Smith and Mazure — will perform, and there is no cover charge, Matthew Coffland, owner of Matt’s Tiger Pub, said.

“I would just like to thank Matthew for helping the baseball team again. He has been so gracious in the past and shows the pride that he and so many others have for their student athletes,” head baseball coach Shawn Selmon said. “Matthew has a great band in MSM coming, and I hope to see a lot of support April 2 for Matthew and for the ball team. Thanks to everyone involved.”

Baseball moms and dads will sell tip boards, and 50/50s will be available. Donations will be accepted, as well.

“Last year, we had a comedy show scheduled on March 20, but that was canceled due to COVID,” Coffland said, ” along with them only getting to play one scrimmage game. So this year are going to throw them a big party to try to get some money in their pocket. They deserve it after what they went through last year. They weren’t able to fundraise or play. All we ask is that you come down and help them out to raise money and get their program heading back in the right direction.”
