McDonald’s OVAC All-Star Marching Band Marks 40th Year
WHEELING — Musicians from all over the Ohio Valley will showcase their musical abilities when the McDonald’s OVAC All-Star Marching Band performs at half-time during the OVAC All-Star Game on at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 24 at Wheeling Island Stadium.
This weekend’s game marks the 40th anniversary of the McDonald’s OVAC All-Star Marching Band. This year’s band features 89 musicians from 17 schools across the Ohio Valley.
“For the past four decades, local McDonald’s restaurants have partnered with the OVAC to support the Conference’s efforts for young people across our area,” said area McDonald’s owner and operator Ross Stoltz. “We’re especially proud of the McDonald’s OVAC All-Star Marching Band because it’s a wonderful example of how schools can pull together to provide meaningful experiences for students.”
Musicians selected for the All-Star Marching Band are considered the cream of the crop as all members were nominated by the band director at their schools.
