Constitution Day To Be Celebrated At Lunch With Books

WHEELING — The next Lunch With Books program presented by the Ohio County Public Library will celebrate Constitution Day.

The program will take place at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at the main library in downtown Wheeling.

Robin Pease and Kulture Kids previously performed “The Last Fugitive Slave,” a community participation play about Lucy Bagby) as part of the library’s 2019 Juneteenth celebration. They, along with the community players who participated, received rave reviews.

For this upcoming program on Tuesday, The Great Law of Peace feauturing Kulture Kids will commemorate Constitution Day (Sept. 17), taking a journey back in time through dance, song and powerful acting to meet Ben Franklin, Hiawatha, Columbus, Thomas Jefferson, Ponce de Leon, Walter Raleigh and many others as the origins of the American Constitution are revealed by the Iroquois Confederacy.

This program is suitable for those in grade four and up, including high school and college students, as well as adults.
