NEW MARTINSVILLE — ArtsLink’s 2022 Coffeehouse Series will continue on Thursday, Aug. 11, with Shortline Junction.

The free 6:30 p.m. concert, sponsored by First Mutual Bank, will be held on the new performance deck at the Francis Creative Arts Center at the corner of Maple Avenue and Washington Street in downtown New Martinsville.

Ben Tharp, senior member of the band, has been performing music since 1964. He is the lead singer and guitar player with the band. Dustin Tarpenning, on mandolin, plays guitar and banjo. George Daniels is the bass player and also sings tenor. Harry Midcap, the newest member of the band, plays a solid bluegrass banjo. Light refreshments will be served and don’t forget a lawn chair. In case of foul weather, the concert will be moved indoors. Grant funding was received from Dominion Foundation for the construction of the new handicapped-accessible performance deck. ArtsLink is committed to providing universal accessibility wherever possible. Persons with special needs may contact ArtsLink at 304-455-2278 to request assistance.
