The Ohio County rabies vaccination clinics begin Tuesday and continue through July 14. The clinics, sponsored by the Ohio County Animal Control office, are for the vaccination of family pets.
The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department urges all Ohio County pet owners to take advantage of this low-cost clinic and get their family pet vaccinated against rabies. All animals must be on a leash or in a pet carrier.
Clinics are operated from 5-7 p.m. and are scheduled at these times and locations:
Tuesday — Madison Elementary School
Wednesday — Ritchie Elementary School
Thursday — Warwood School
July 8 — West Liberty Elementary School
July 11 — City-County Building, Wheeling
July 12 — Woodsdale Elementary School
July 13 — Valley Grove Community Center
July 14 — Bridge Street Middle School
The veterinarian or Ohio County dog warden reserves the right to refuse to vaccinate any animal deemed to be vicious or dangerous. Participating veterinarians include Drs. Debby Shondrick, Michael Rubin, Pamela Harrold and Karl Yurko.
All pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals. For more information, call the Ohio County Commission or the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department at 304-234-3682 or visit www.ohiocountyhealth.com.
