BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
At 3:32 p.m. Monday, units responded to Depot Street, Flushing, where a complainant reported people were shooting. Officers reported they sat in the area for about 15 minutes but did not hear anything.
At 12:25 a.m. Monday, officers responded to Days Inn West, Holiday Drive, St. Clairsville, for a report of a fight in the lobby. A man reportedly pulled a knife on another man, according to the report, which stated there were conflicting stories and both men were too intoxicated to provide statements.
At 8:36 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a man at a bar on Glenn’s Run Road, Bridgeport, took a cane and beat the taillights out of his car, then left in a gray van.
At 3:55 p.m. Sunday, units responded to Walmart, Ohio Valley Plaza, St. Clairsville, for a report of a shoplifter who had left the store.
At 7:51 p.m. Saturday, a complainant from Willow Grove Road, Bellaire, reported tools, beer from the refrigerator and a gun was stolen from a locked garage sometime overnight.
At 7:38 p.m. Saturday, a woman shoplifter was reported leaving the Ohio Valley Mall, St. Clairsville, in a black Cadillac Escalade.
