Driver checkpoint planned in Belmont County is canceled

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Ohio State Highway Patrol post in St. Clairsville has canceled its planned driver checkpoint that had been scheduled for this evening. According to a dispatcher, concerns about weather conditions prompted the decision to cancel the checkpoint, which was to take place in Belmont County. Such checkpoints are usually conducted in an effort to educate motorists and to promote safe and sober driving.
