Jefferson County Clerk of Courts Releases Report for May
Jefferson County Clerk of Courts John Corrigan has released his report for May.
The auto title department collected vehicle fees and taxes of $750,022, with $35,592 going to the county and $714,430 going to the state. Miscellaneous fees were $5,750 and watercraft fees $711. Total fees and taxes were $772,848, with $42,053 going to the county and $730,795 to the state.
For the legal department, new cases filed included miscellaneous, 20; Ohio Department of Taxation, 32; certificate of judgment, 31; civil, 42; notaries, 12; domestic, 24; criminal, 18; and court of appeals, four. Clerk fees paid into the county totaled $16,643. The Rayland title office processed 787 titles with license plate revenue of $722. Also processed were 38 passports with revenue of $1,330.
The courthouse title office processed 53 passports with revenue of $1,855; recorded license plate revenue of $1,789; and saw a total of $41,660 in total auto title fees paid.
The total revenue paid into the county was $44,171, with county total titles of 2,699.
