At 2:34 p.m. Thursday, a caller from Robin Street, Lafferty, called to report the neighbors have been burning grass for four days and there is a lot of smoke. A deputy responded and advised them to call back if the neighbors were burning anything illegal, according to the report.

At 4:59 a.m. Thursday, units responded to Bel Village Apartments, Patterson Hill Road, Neffs, for a report of an assault. A caller reported a male kicked her in the teeth.

At 12:46 a.m. Thursday, a deputy was out assisting units from the Martins Ferry Police Department on North Eighth Street, Martins Ferry, to assist with a fugitive, according to the report.

At 11:37 p.m. Wednesday, units responded to Gas Station Shippy Road, Fairpoint, for a domestic complaint. A caller reported hitting a male with a night stick when he tried to pull her out of a car and assault her. Upon arrival, authorities detained one male and one female, according to the incident report.

At 10:17 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were out with a K-9 unit on the Island Bridge, Main Street, Bridgeport, on a request for assistance from Bridgeport Police.
