Patching Continues Ahead of I-70 Bridges Project

As preparations for the long-awaited I-70 Bridges Project in Ohio County continue, crews with Swank Construction continued temporary bridge deck patch work on Interstate 70 just east of the Marion Street interchange in Bridgeport this week.

The West Virginia Division of Highways advises that sections of I-70 will be restricted to one lane between Bridgeport and the Oglebay Exit in Wheeling through Sept. 27, as crews perform bridge deck patching and continue with preparations for median crossovers and construction work associated with the Bridges Project, which is scheduled to begin later this year.

Motorists traveling through the workzone are advised to expect delays and be alert for changing traffic patterns.
