Property in Violation of Municipal Zoning Ordinance
A property on 3901 Wood St. has reportedly been used as a junkyard by its owner, William Timmons, for about two months. Friday, Sept. 20 is the last day for Timmons to clear the lot of “materials, bikes, debris, scrap metal, rope, rags, paper, appliances, wood, inoperable vehicles, etc.” according to Wheeling City Councilwoman Melinda Koslik, as the property is in violation of municipal zoning ordinances. Neighbors described the lot as “an eyesore,” and Koslik said the city has received numerous complaints about the state of the property. Timmons couldn’t be reached for comment.
