A swearing-in ceremony was held for three new deputies with the Ohio County Sheriff Department on Thursday morning, with Ohio County Circuit Judge Michael Olejasz presiding. Pictured being sworn in by Olejasz are, from left, Josh Varner, Kirsty Scott and Austin Kitzmiller. While Scott and Kitzmiller are currently going through training and are scheduled to attend the West Virginia Police Academy, Varner has been assigned for duty with a field training officer.
