Jefferson County Clerk of Courts Releases July Report
STEUBENVILLE – Jefferson County Clerk of Courts John Corrigan has released his report for July.
The auto title department collected vehicle fees and taxes of $797,348, with $36,617 going to the county and $760,730 going to the state. Miscellaneous fees were $4,550 and watercraft fees $1,302. Total fees and taxes were $824,632, with $42,469 going to the county and $782,163 to the state.
For the legal department, new cases filed included miscellaneous, 34; Ohio Department of Taxation, 107; certificate of judgment, 41; civil, 33; domestic, 24; criminal, 10; and court of appeals, two. Clerk fees paid into the county totaled $7,859.
The Rayland title office processed 806 titles with license plate revenue of $1,068. Also processed were nine passports with revenue of $315.
The courthouse title office processed two passports with revenue of $70; recorded license plate revenue of $3,020; and saw a total of $40,784 in total auto title fees paid. The total revenue paid into the county was $44,881, with county total titles of 2,814.
