Main Street Bank held their annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony Thursday evening in the bank’s south parking lot. As part of the event, bank and Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce officials honored the Chamber of Commerce’s teachers of the year in Ohio County. From left; Del. Erikka Storch, R-Ohio, the WACC president, Santa, teacher honorees: Jessica Glenn from Our Lady of Peace School, Carmen Heil from Triadelphia Middle School, and Albert Bucon from Central Catholic High School, kick off the event with the tree lighting. The teachers were scheduled to serve as grand marshals for the chamber’s annual “Main Street Bank Fantasy in Lights Christmas Parade” this weekend before the parade was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. Each teacher also will receive a plaque and a $100 gift card for Oglebay Park. The Chamber of Commerce invited the three to Thursday’s tree lighting to acknowledge their accomplishments.
