Brooke County Solid Waste Authority To Collect Old Electronics
The Brooke County Solid Waste Authority will be collecting old electronic devices from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18 at Brooke Hills Park.
Individuals bringing items to the collection must show proof of their residency in Brooke County. The event isn’t open to businesses or groups. There will be a 10-item limit per vehicle.
The following items will be accepted: AC adapters, audiovisual equipment, various types of batteries, calculators, cameras, cell phones, typewriters, electrical wires, cables and cords; dehumidifiers, dryers, washers, refrigerators, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, DVD players, fax machines, LCD and projection/plasma televisions, electrical medical devices, security equipment, stereo equipment, Christmas lights and computers and related components, such as hard drives, mice, scanners, mainframes and copy machines.
