Christmas Star Shines Over Village of Bethlehem Once More

The village bearing a name that plays a key role in the Christmas story sees a cherished holiday tradition return after several decades Friday evening as the 40-foot-tall star just off of Chapel Road is illuminated for the first time since the 1980s. Residents celebrated with hot cocoa and children’s activities including making a star ornament, decorating cookies, signing cards for patients at Peterson Rehabiliation Hospital, making reindeer food and writing letters to Santa, who made an appearance at the event.
