Ohio Valley residents are invited to make lasting holiday memories while cruising the Ohio River.

The Sistersville Ferry is hosting free Christmas cruises on the Ohio River on Dec. 7. The cruises include a one-hour ride down the river with Santa, a tree to decorate, hot chocolate and cookies, Christmas caroling and giveaways for all ages.

The ferry will pick up passengers on the Fly, Ohio landing at both 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The ferry will pick up passengers on the Sistersville landing at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Call the Sistersville City Hall, 304-652-6361 for reservations. It is suggested passengers bring their own chairs.

The Sistersville Ferry Board’s goal is to provide entertainment, as well as transportation, for local communities while raising awareness of the historic value of this unique vessel, one of only three ferries still operating on the Ohio River.
