An Ohio County man died in a one vehicle accident involving a pickup truck that went off Table Rock Lane on Wednesday afternoon.

Table Rock Lane was closed both ways much of Wednesday afternoon as authorities conducted their investigations. It was scheduled to reopen Wednesday evening.

After the Ohio County Medical Examiner, the coroner and accident reconstruction team investigated the scene, they determined that the man was traveling home when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit a series of trees, according to Sheriff Nelson Croft. The man was found dead on scene. His family has been notified.

The West Liberty Fire Department and EMS, Ohio County EMS and Ohio County Sheriff, and the Clearview Fire Department and EMS reported to the scene.
