Injured Man Flown Out Of Ferry

MARTINS FERRY — Martins Ferry emergency squads were called to Turf Care off Ohio 7, where an incident apparently occurred on the roof. According to a Martins Ferry police dispatcher, one of the city fire trucks was called out since first responders needed a ladder to reach the man. They attempted to clear a landing area for a medical evacuation helicopter. The helicopter arrived and flew over the intended site, then the emergency personnel moved to the highway and blocked off a northbound section for it to land. The man was transferred to the helicopter, which took flight.

According to the Belmont County 911 dispatch, the helicopter flew out of Health Team Critical Care Transport out of West Virginia.

They had no information on the status of the man.
