Matt Parise said he told the Ohio for Trump organization the area was ready for a big event, and Tuesday evening it was revealed he’s getting his wish.

Parise, the chairman of the Jefferson County Republican Party, confirmed that Donald Trump Jr. will hold an event in the area on Thursday, campaigning for his father’s re-election bid with a stop at Bully Tools on Thursday evening. That’s also the same day President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden engage in their final debate.

“I have pushed and advocated for months and months through Ohio for Trump to have someone come here,” Parise said. “A few weeks ago, we had Mick Mulvaney here, and I talked again to the chairman of the Trump for Ohio campaign and told him we are ready for a bigger event.

“It is as exciting as you can imagine for me as the local chairman to have somebody of that caliber coming in. I’m just absolutely thrilled, I can’t wait.”

Trump Jr. is slated to speak at 7:30 p.m. at the local business located in the Jefferson County Industrial Park at 14 Technology Way. According to Parise, the event is open to the public and those wishing to attend can RSVP by visiting the events tab on the campaign’s website, DonaldJTrump.com.
