Animal Causes Power Outage Affecting Customers In South Wheeling, Center Wheeling and Benwood
Another issue with animal contact has caused a power outage Tuesday morning affecting about 2,000 customers in South Wheeling, Benwood and parts of Center Wheeling, according to Appalachian Power.
Animal contact was the cause of another recent outage that affected about the same amount of customers in the same areas of the Northern Panhandle. There are animal barriers inside the transformer where the problems are happening, an AEP spokesperson said.
The estimated time for power restoration was not known as of 11 a.m. Tuesday.
