Police: Two Dead in Moundsville Following Apparent Domestic Dispute

MOUNDSVILLE — Two people are left dead Saturday afternoon after an apparent domestic disturbance at a home on Second Street.

Police did not disclose details Saturday, but as of 5:30 p.m. Moundsville Police Chief Tom Mitchell said that there were two deaths reported after an incident at 1409 Second St., near the corner of Ash Avenue. Mitchell said the public was not at risk and that the matter was being actively investigated.

Marshall County Sheriff Bill Helms said deputies assisted Moundsville officers with a domestic disturbance involving a gun and a knife.

Police at the scene said further information would be made available Monday.
