Video: John Marshall girls celebrate as they learn they are co-champions of W.Va. state swimming

Photo by John McCabe John Marshall High School on Friday captured its first-ever West Virginia state swimming title, as the Lady Monarchs ended as co-champions in Class AAA, tied with Bridgeport (W.Va.) High School. Shown here with the state trophy are, at front, Coach Anthony Evick and Maitlyn Miller. John Marshall’s girls tied with Bridgeport High School to claim the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission State Swimming championship for AAA schools. This is the first year swimming has been broken into AAA and AA/A divisions.
