Marvin Dale Clarke, 81, of Moundsville died Sunday.
Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.
Marvin Dale Clarke, 81, of Moundsville, WV, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
He was born July 2, 1933, in Moundsville, the son of the late Russell and Opal Clarke.
He was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran, a retired employee from the former Hanlin Chemical, a driver for Change Inc. and a member of Earl Francis Post #3 American Legion and the 40 & 8 Club.
He enjoyed watching sports and westerns, going to the Legion and talking to his grandchildren on the phone.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn McMasters, and a grandson, Justin Schubert.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Diann Clarke; a daughter, Stefanie Jo (Kevin) Benison of Fort Myers, FL; a stepdaughter, Lorie Schubert of McMechen, WV; three brothers: Ronnie Clarke of AZ, Byron Clarke of OH and Duane (Linda) Clarke of Moundsville; four grandchildren: Jason Schubert of OH, Ashlie Kotson of NE and Brooke and Emma Benison, both of FL; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold (Nancy) Elson of PA; caregiver Hannah Palmer-Goodnight; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Scott Haynes officiating.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville, where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
