Franklin “Neil” Lough, Sr., 78, of Wheeling, WV, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 8, 2019 at his home.
Neil was born November 4, 1940 in Hundred, WV, son of the late Archie and Genevieve Sayer Lough.
He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed sitting on his porch swing watching the hummingbirds and wildlife. He also loved watching the Price is Right. He was a retired coal miner at Valley Camp Coal.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby son, Franklin Neil Lough, Jr. (“Little Neil”); four brothers, J. Randall, Daniel, Arthur, and Russell; and a sister, Inez Patterson.
Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Janice Skidmore Lough; seven children, Connie (Rick) Gardner of Bethlehem, WV, Charles (Carrie) Lough of Warwood, WV, Tammy (Ed) Malson of West Alexander, PA, James (Paula) Lough, William (Beverly) Lough, Michael (Carrie) Bertelli, and Amanda (Albert) Hunter, all of Wellsburg, WV; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a very special sister, Betty Culley; a brother, Donald Lough, Sr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, February 11, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.at Kepner Funeral Homes, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV (304-277-2722) with Rev. Dennis Arnold officiating. Interment in Short Creek Cemetery.
