William “Bill” Blake, 88 of Glen Dale, WV died Friday, June 28, 2019 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.

He was born November 24, 1930 the son of the late George Philip and Mildred Massey Blake.

Bill was a retired steel foreman for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant; a member of Little Prince Lodge, #79, Knights of Pythias; Marshall County HIstorical Society; Moundsville Lions Club; Reynolds Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and a US Navy Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Blake; second wife; Darlene “Lindy” Blake and one sister, Mary Jo Bernhart.

Survivors include two sons, Joe (Trudi) Blake of Glen Dale, WV and Jeffrey (Jackie) Blake of Moundsville, WV; two daughters, Carrie Burch of Akron, OH and Jenny (Steve) Eastham of Paden City, WV; one step-daughter, Patricia Ann Skaggs (David) Owens of Limestone, WV; six grandchildren, Carolyn (Bryan) Whisler, Zachary (Nicole) Eastham, Daniel Eastham, Craig (Catherine) Blake, Alyssa Blake and Austin Blake; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and seven step great- grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Monday from noon until the time of Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 503 Lafayette Avenue, Moundsville, WV with Pastor Sean Smith officiating and the Moundsville Honor Guard conducting Military Services.
