In Memory

Daniel Brian Wisialowski passed away at his home in West Hartford, CT, on July 15, 2019, at the age of 52.

Dan was the second of three sons and was born on March 3, 1967, to Jim and Fran Wisialowski in Wheeling, WV, where he came hurdling into their lives with gusto.

Curious about everything, he spent his childhood ‘doing what boys do’ including years of sports activities, particularly hockey and soccer. Throughout his life, Dan always expressed admiration toward his mother and father for having given him a wonderful childhood.

After attending Linsly School, Dan went to Tufts University, graduating with a degree in Civil/ Engineering. He worked initially in Boston, MA, where he met his wife Sondra, and after several years moved together to Atlanta, GA, – getting married on February 13, 1993. New England was calling, and they soon moved back to the northeast in Wethersfield, CT, to start a family, and then to West Hartford, CT.

Dan had a zest for life and was not one to idly sit down. As a young boy his dad would famously comment – Dan has two speeds, fast and faster. He also loved the outdoors and took several extended trips with his brothers and father to experience the western wilderness. Similar to his own father, Dan had an appreciation for the designs and philosophy of Frank Lloyd Wright. Dan also had an affection for pets, having grown up with dogs throughout his childhood and his adult life. Dan was known for his determination and persistence, and took on many activities including marathon running and numerous home renovation projects on his own.

Dan was predeceased by his father, James, and is survived by his two children, Caroline and Jack, with whom he had many fond memories; his brothers, Todd and Bart; and his mother, Fran.

‘With love, all things endure, for though they may pass from this earth, they live on in the hearts of those who have loved them.’
