Harry Robert “Bob” Breitinger, 86, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Continuous Care Center, Wheeling, WV.
He was born August 13, 1933, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Harry Anthony and Audrey Mae Trenton Breitinger.
Bob was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired as a master carpenter/foreman from Trenton Construction and worked as a carpenter at Oglebay Park. He was a member of the Ohio Lodge 1 A.F. & A.M. and a member of the El Tor Grotto.
Christian by faith, Bob was best known for the devotion and loyalty he had to his family, his quick wit, his eagerness to help others, and the gift he had to see the best in people. He brought joy to all those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia Ann (Patty) McDade Breitinger; two sons, Robert David (Tina) Breitinger of Elkins, WV and James Michael (Donna) Breitinger of Westerville, OH; daughter, Lynn Michelle (Patrick) Colson of Matthews, NC; 10 grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer), Mike (Amanda), Jeremy (Leslie), Shauna (Mirko) Jotic, Kara (Jim) Solano, Jimmy (Olivia), Amanda Howell, Anthony Colson, Alec Colson, and Ace Colson; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his fur baby, Bell Bell.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) where services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Mr. Patrick Colson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV where the Moundsville Veteran Honor Guard will conduct full military honors and Ohio Lodge 1 will conduct a masonic graveside service.
